“ Thanksgiving Day”

   It´s a national holiday since 1879 the second Monday in October to celebrate the gathering of crops. Its origin comes from a European tradition imported by early American colonists, in their origin countries celebrated festivals of thanksgiving for good harvests. The first thanksgiving Day in North America happened in Canada, when the English explorer Martin Frobisher arrived in Newfoundland in 1578 and gave thanks for having arrived safely. Forty-three years after something similar happened on the southern border, when the colonists found the new state of  Massachusetts, creating the same festival in United States, but with the peculiarity that in Canada it is held a month earlier due to early collection harvests due to climatic conditions. The principal plate is the turkey.

City problem

   In Costa Rica the cities are very beautiful, but there is a big problem. The ways always stay with too much waste and bad smell. This is very unpleasant, because when I go to the university or I am walking to some place, I see the pipe of the city with waste causing bad smell. I think that it is necessary that people something to eliminate this smell. The government is doing too few changing our country. Also the citizens should have conscience and  shouldn´t throw the garbage the sidewalks, keeping the cleaner and beautiful.

 

Germany

   The country that I would like to visit is Germany, because this is a place with  many beauties like : Berlin Cathedral, Fountain of Neptune, Pergamon Museum, German Historical Museum and with very high level of life. Also I want to go to Germany because I have some friends there.

·         Public behaviors of Germany.

Education:

The primary Education lasts four years.

The secondary education includes focus types of schools of the base of the student´s capacity.

To enter in a university the student needs to approve the exam.

The education in Germany is excellent. The teachers prepare very good the students.

The technical of the schools are very good to the student speak other languages.

Economy:

   It´s considered in general terms the third world power and the first one in Europe. It´s the focus of wealth and that is reflected in the growing economy center in Europe.

Culture:

   This is the country called the earth of poets and thinkers. In this culture we find different German painters, composer as: Rammstein, Krafwerk, Scarpions and Tokio Hotel. Also the German are very punctual.

Religion:

   The religion isn´t important like in Costa Rica, However  there are  religions like: Islamism, Buddhism, Judaism and Christianity that is the biggest religious in Germany.

    In this is country most people don´t believe in a God.

It´s a little about the country that I would like to visit.

My mother

   My mother´s name is Rosario Solano Salazar. She is teacher of  special teaching and has given classes for seven year  in different schools. Now she is in Cachi, Cartago. She gives class in the school in Cachi. She is always traveling by bus. She is good at teaching. She always wants to have everyday good in planning to give an excelent class. She sometimes feels to tired of traveling everyday, but she cotinues loving her job. Also she likes to help to the people in all to can.

   This year my mother was nervous about people checking her planning because they are very strict; however, my mother is resposability.

   Let me tell you about my mother in my house. I thing she is very different here in my house then in the school, because she is more patient in the school. My sister and I are still curious about this. However, she is an excellente mother.

  

   We try to help in my house doing some thing like: cleaning the house, cooking, trashing plates, etc and she at nigth the unique to do is prepare of food.

   This is thing of everyday.

 My town tucurrique

 I live a samall valley called Tucurrique vey far from the university. My town is beautiful for me and It´s very famous in october, when celebrate the national fair of Pejibaye is celebrated. This place usually is peaceful. Tucurrique has warm and cold weather conditions. It´s a tourist place; it has a river for rafting and swimming, montains and a lot of  flora and fauna. Here, the people work very hard, but usually they have their  own business. Tucurrique has a Catholic church, a school, a supermarket, a clinic, a restaurant, etc. Their streets are very safe. Everyone is invited to come to Tucurrique.

The hundred things

Based on" the list of the 100 things you..." I have already sung at salon in my town with  my cousin. When I was a girl, and we won the first place. I have already planted a tree in my school with my partner and teacher in agriculture class. Then I have won and shouted " Bingo" at a Bingo hall; I had luck in this moment. At my school in the fifth year, my partner and I have  already drew a mural about some philosophers, It was a very experience nice. Also I have already reflected on my greatest weaknesses and realized like It is my greatest strength this is very important to do everything well.

Something about me

    While I was in school, I sometimes worked in the barkery´s of my grandparents on weekends. Here I learned good manners to attend to the people and I know variety of names about pastry. Also I helped with my friends to the seniors doing activities, cleaning their house, dancing with them. This was very interesting and an new experience for us. After I´ve been interested in English, so I entered in the Cultural Center to learn English. This was very good for me, because I had more confidence in my self. Now, I have been studyind teaching and translation in English at ULACIT, and I hope to be good in English.

The worts day of my life

    This happened the last year. I was walking with my sister and my friend to  church. When I was leaving to across the street, I didn´t see the step and I sprained my feet. I tried to lean on my friend so that other people didn´t see me; however, they saw me.


    This was very embarrasing for me. I didn´t wear those shoes ever again. After I arrived home, I immediately changed. I won´t forget this day and now I am careful when I take a step. This was funny to people while I was feeling a lot of shame; finally, I was walking with my friend to pizza shop. They were teasing me, but I tried to forget about it.
